Informatie voor bezoekers
Op 31 oktober 2026 vindt in Leeuwarden de 2026 editie van het Northern Prog Festival plaats. Hartstikke leuk om jullie te zien bij het festival. We hebben wat praktische informatie voor jullie.

Routebeschrijving
In de buurt van Leeuwarden volg de borden Leeuwarden Noord en neem de afslag Leeuwarden Noord. Bij het kruispunt met stoplichten rij recht door. Bij de rotonde (Europaplein) neem de eerste afslag. Bij de volgende rotonde neem opnieuw de eerste afslag. De ingang van de locatie is dan recht vooruit.
Parkeren
Om te parkeren sla je voor Westcord WTC links af. Je kunt parkeren op P2 of P3. Hier geldt in principe betaald parkeren, maar op zaterdag hoeft er niet te worden betaald. Om 21.00 wordt een wedstrijd in het stadion achter het WTC complex gespeeld. Dus er kunnen verkeersregelaars en handhavers actief zijn. Houd je aan de regels om een boete te voorkomen.
Openbaar vervoer
Vanaf station Leeuwarden is het ongeveer 20 minuten lopen. Steek over bij het station en sla linksaf tussen de gebouwen door. Westcord WTC ligt aan het einde van de weg.
Buslijn 97 brengt je in 4 minuten naar de locatie. Uitstappen bij halte WTC/ Heliconweg. Maar let op deze bus rijdt in het weekend maar één keer per uur. Check een reisplanner voor een goede aansluiting, zodat je op tijd bij het festival kunt zijn.
Kaartverkoop
Check vooraf via de website of er nog kaarten beschikbaar zijn. We hebben op de locatie namelijk een maximaal aantal bezoekers. De kaartverkoop is rechts van de ingang naast de trap naar de eerste verdieping. Je kunt contant of, door het scannen van een QR code, via de bank betalen. Bij contante betaling accepteren we alleen gepaste betaling. Zodra de eerste band speelt wordt de kaartverkoop verplaatst naar de eerste verdieping.
Kaartcontrole
De kaartcontrole is op de eerste verdieping. Heb je al kaartjes gekocht dan kun je gelijk doorlopen naar de kaartcontrole. Deze kun je bereiken via de trap, of via de lift, die rechts van de hotelreceptie zit. Bij drukte, ga niet op de trap staan wachten maar blijf onderaan de trap wachten tot er boven ruimte is.
Toiletten en garderobe
Rechts van de trap op de eerste verdieping zijn de toiletten. Daar is ook de garderobe. Gebruik van de garderobe is voor eigen risico. Dat geldt overigens ook voor de toiletten.
Toegang zaal
De ingang van de zaal is achteraan aan de rechterzijde. De deur van de zaal gaat een kwartier voor het eerste optreden open. Het is mogelijk dat we vragen om tijdens de pauze de zaal te verlaten.
Rolstoel
Bezoekers in een rolstoel kunnen vooraan in het rechter of het linker gangpad plaats nemen. Kom op tijd om niet in de drukte bij het openen van de zaal terecht te komen. We vragen het publiek om de stoel direct naast de rolstoel beschikbaar te stellen aan een eventuele begeleider.
Eten en drinken
Er is eten en drinken beschikbaar op de locatie maar je kunt alleen met de pin betalen.

Directions by Car
When approaching Leeuwarden, follow the signs for Leeuwarden Noord and take the Leeuwarden Noord exit. At the traffic lights, continue straight ahead. At the roundabout (Europaplein), take the first exit. At the next roundabout, take the first exit again. The entrance to the venue will then be directly ahead of you.
Parking
For parking, turn left just before the WestCord WTC Hotel. You can park in P2 or P3.
Parking is normally paid, but parking is free on Saturdays.
Please note that a football match will be played in the stadium behind the WTC complex at 21:00. As a result, traffic controllers and parking enforcement officers may be present in the area. Please follow the traffic and parking regulations to avoid a fine.
Public Transport
From Leeuwarden railway station, it is approximately a 20-minute walk. Cross the road in front of the station and turn left between the buildings. The WestCord WTC Hotel is located at the end of the road.
Bus 97 takes approximately 4 minutes from the station to the venue. Get off at WTC/Heliconweg. Please note that this bus only runs once an hour at weekends. We therefore recommend checking a journey planner in advance to make sure you have a suitable connection and arrive at the festival on time.
Ticket Sales
Please check our website before travelling to see whether tickets are still available, as the venue has a maximum capacity.
The ticket desk is located to the right of the entrance, next to the stairs leading to the first floor.
You can pay in cash or by scanning a QR code and paying through your bank. For cash payments, please bring the exact amount, as we are unable to provide change.
Once the first band has started playing, the ticket desk will move to the first floor.
Ticket Check
The ticket check is located on the first floor. If you have already purchased your ticket, you can go directly to the ticket check. The first floor can be reached by the stairs or by the lift, which is located to the right of the hotel reception.
If it is busy, please do not wait on the stairs. Remain at the bottom of the stairs until there is enough space upstairs.
Toilets and Cloakroom
The toilets are located on the first floor, to the right of the stairs. The cloakroom is located in the same area.
Use of the cloakroom is at your own risk.
And, of course, the same applies to the toilets.
Entrance to the Concert Room
The entrance to the concert room is located at the rear on the right-hand side.
The doors to the concert room will open 15 minutes before the first performance.
Please note that we may ask visitors to leave the concert room during the interval.
Wheelchair Access
Wheelchair users can take a position at the front of either the left or right aisle.
We recommend arriving early to avoid the crowds when the doors to the concert hall open.
We kindly ask other visitors to leave the seat immediately next to a wheelchair available for the wheelchair user's companion, if required.
Food and Drinks
Food and drinks are available at the venue.
Please note that payment for food and drinks is by debit card only.
